Since opening our store 9 years ago, we've been in 2 locations. The past 4 year we've been on Green Bay Road, north of 60th Street. This location has been a blessing to us as both high visibility and the room for expansion of services exist. We purchased a wide format solvent printer, plotter and laminator. We can now do large prints for vehicles, backlit signs, real estate development signs or full color banners. I believe business is more than a transaction; it's an ongoing relationship that's built over time. My yardstick to measure success is repeat business and referrals. I believe that community involvement is key to building that relationship. It's my responsibility as a business owner to contribute back. I've lived in Kenosha all of my life, and I'm currently a Chamber Ambassador.
I belong to KWN because women in this group are movers and shakers. We make a difference by standing together. It was humbling to receive all the support from the KWN when I organized sending school supplies, clothing and other items to Iraq.
Lately, I've been putting in 12 hour days. The hardest part for me has been missing that time with my daughter. She's going off to college next year. I have regrets about how much time this business has taken from her. I only hope that seeing how hard I worked at pursuing my dream has impacted and inspired her. I want her to feel empowered to make her own difference in years to come.
